tips for eating out (and eating on the run)

When traveling on a road trip

Traveling in a car on a road trip for any length of time can be a challenge. Especially if you are one to snack in the car while traveling. Most convenience stores these days have a healthier option section. If you are feeling the urge to snack and you made a stop, grab a few hard boiled eggs and a nice cold bottle of water. The eggs will fill you up and get you on your way without breaking your diet.

Eating on the run when traveling on a road trip

Getting your 8 ounces of meat and 2 cups of vegetables while traveling can be a challenge if you do not have time to stop and sit down to eat. Most dine-in restaurants have a to-go option. Use your phone or GPS to find the nearest stop along your way and call and order a to-go order of steak and broccoli or another lean meat and vegetable option. This way you can plan a quick stop, pick up your food and be back on the road in no time!
